London-Heathrow International Airport [LHR]

Nursing Mothers Room:

  • Locations: In Terminal 2 on Level 5 there are two designated rooms (one on each side of the food court), next to restrooms and water fountains. In Terminal 4 it is located within the kids play zone area. Also, getting off the plane on United, all of the bathrooms had a nursing mothers space, even before clearing customs which was incredible! Additional spaces are located throughout the airport and inside the play areas are other nursing spots.

  • Access: Indicator on door shows if in use. If vacant, the door will be unlocked and open.

  • Set-up: They have a sink, chair, mirror, changing table and even paper covers for the changing table to keep it more sanitary. There are water refill stations outside these areas and regular restrooms nearby.

Play Areas:

  • Location: There are different play areas in terminals 2, 3, 4 & 5 with easy to locate maps online.

  • Set-up: These spaces are amazing. The terminal 4 location takes you up an elevator to a dedicated room that is quiet and away from the chaos of the airport. It has an infant/toddler section, an older kids climbing and play area, a nursing space, chairs for tired parents and even a water fountain inside there. If you have a couple of hours, you can easily make the layover fly by. Additionally, by terminal 2 there is a great play space as you head to the gates from the main waiting area. The set-up is similar with an infant and big kid play side, just smaller than the other terminal.
