Kansas City International Airport [MCI]
Nursing Mothers Room:
Location: Throughout the concourse. Mamava Pods are in each terminal and there are family restrooms with changing tables, toddler seats and plenty of space half way down each of the B terminal concourses.
Access: Mamava has standard access, restrooms have indicator latch to show if available.
Set-up: The family restrooms are equipped with changing tables, toddler seats and plenty of space for strollers, bags and things. These were all very clean when we visited.
Play Area:
Near the junction point between the A & B concourses after you cross the bridge (near B54), this is tucked in a corner and has several signs. It isn’t a huge space, but the plane has seats, sounds, lights and a fun microphone feature where the kids can interact. There are benches so parents can sit and also a few interactive things on the wall. If your kid is 5 or under this is a great spot, older kids will likely get bored pretty quickly. There is a bathroom and water fill station very close.
Other Notes:
This was a very kid-friendly airport with multiple family style restrooms, easy to navigate concourses and great signage pointing to the play area, restrooms and water stations. The staff outside were very accommodating for our loading time with kids, strollers, etc. which was nice because I feel like the PD often hurry you along. Would definitely fly through here again if needed. They also have a sensory room and quiet room if needed.
