Central Illinois Regional Airport at Bloomington-Normal [BMI]

Nursing Mothers Room:

  • Location: Main level, just to the right of and below the escalators after you’ve passed through security.

  • Access: Door opens, large room with sub-rooms once inside.

  • Set-up: I was impressed and surprised as it is a fairly large space with a sub room with for added privacy. It has a flight monitor to track flight status, outlets, chairs, a high window to allow in natural light while keeping privacy, tables and a sink. It was quiet and well appointed, and much larger than one would expect given how small this airport is.

Other Notes:

The airport is small, which makes it easy to navigate if everything is on time. However, if you have delays, there is not much to entertain kids. There is a small shop with packaged food items and drinks, a restroom that is fairly tight to navigate with a stroller and some rocking chairs watching the airplanes take off (which is not a frequent occurrence). Parking (short and long-term) is free at this location.
